The Unique small arms manufacturer was formed in 1923 in Béhobie under the name Uria & Arenas Frères by José Uria (1896-1973) and became MAPF (Manufacture d’Armes of the French Pyrenees) in 1928 when it was installed in Hendaye. It remained a family company until 2001 where The factory was taken over by FMR who redeemed the Unique brand in France.
Today, the French brand is stronger than ever thanks to the balance between permanent innovation and tradition in firearms manufacturing that the team preserved over the years. Even though the flagship concept of Unique-RS1 is adopted, reproduced and manufactured by biggest brands of the industry, Very few of them can claim being a multiple Gold Medal Winner of Olympic Games Shooting Disciplines.
The Unique-RS1 remains the genuine and original model toward which all attention for every single detail is brought with the pride of manufacturing an extremely accurate, reliable and durable Unique Fully Modular Rifle, that every shooter can order according to his own needs and desires.
